Bollywood Movie Mistakes You Never Noticed: 10 Bloopers That Made It To Final Cut
From a disappearing glass in Sholay to a modern zipper in a period film, these ten Bollywood movie mistakes made it past the editor and into the theatre.

Every big Bollywood film has a continuity supervisor. Every big Bollywood film also has a scene where the hero''s shirt collar is flipped in one frame and folded flat in the next. It happens. Cameras roll for months, edits get rushed for a Friday release, and the tiny mistakes make it in.
Here are ten of the most-shared, most re-watched Bollywood movie mistakes — the ones that made it all the way to the final cut.
1. Sholay (1975) — the disappearing glass
In the famous "Kitne aadmi the?" scene, watch Gabbar''s henchmen. A glass on the table shifts position between cuts, and in one frame it is not there at all. Fifty years later, fans are still catching it on YouTube slow-mo.
2. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) — Kajol''s changing bindi
During the "Suraj Hua Maddham" song, Kajol''s bindi jumps size and shape between the wide shot and the close-up. Two different shoot days, same song.
3. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) — Anjali''s watch
Kajol''s character wears a wristwatch in scenes set in the mid-1990s that clearly shows a design that only launched years later. A small thing, but once you see it you cannot un-see it.
4. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) — the moving mustard field
In the famous mustard field scene, watch the position of the fields behind Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol as they walk. The background jumps because the sequence was stitched from three different locations in Punjab and Switzerland.
5. Jodhaa Akbar (2008) — the modern zipper
A period film set in the 16th century. In one scene, an extra''s costume clearly shows a zipper at the back. Zippers were patented in 1893.
6. 3 Idiots (2009) — Rancho''s laptop battery
During the classroom scenes, the battery indicator on Rancho''s laptop drops from full to almost empty across a single conversation and then jumps back to full. Continuity editors, we salute you.
7. Dabangg (2010) — the falling sunglasses
Salman Khan famously tucks his sunglasses into the back of his collar in one iconic frame. Watch the next shot: the sunglasses are on his face. Cut back: they are on his collar again.
8. Devdas (2002) — Paro''s changing hair parting
Aishwarya Rai''s hair is parted on the right in one shot and the left in the next — a classic mirror-flip during editing. Happens in period dramas more than you would think.
9. Bajirao Mastani (2015) — the modern shoe
In one battle sequence, a soldier in the far background is clearly wearing modern lace-up boots. Sanjay Leela Bhansali films are visually perfect 99% of the time — but that 1% lives forever on Reddit.
10. Ra.One (2011) — the disappearing scar
Shah Rukh Khan''s character has a facial scar in some scenes and no scar in others, within the same story timeline. VFX-heavy films are notorious for this; a make-up touch-up gets lost across weeks of shooting.
Why these mistakes happen
Bollywood shoots are non-linear. A scene set on Monday morning is often filmed three months after the scene set on Monday afternoon, with different lighting, different make-up teams, and sometimes different cities. The continuity supervisor catches most of it, but not all.
