Ram Gopal Varma Calls Ranveer Singh Better Than Leonardo DiCaprio

Mumbai, March 24, 2026 – Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) has set Bollywood buzzing after declaring Ranveer Singh’s performance in Dhurandhar The Revenge the “greatest performance I’ve ever seen.” His fiery praise instantly sparked comparisons with Hollywood legend Leonardo DiCaprio.

RGV’s Explosive Statement on Ranveer Singh

At a film discussion, RGV said:

“Ranveer Singh’s performance in Dhurandhar 2 is a masterclass. The raw pain and emotional honesty reminded me of DiCaprio in Body of Lies. It is the greatest performance I’ve ever seen.”

Varma’s words have crowned Ranveer as Bollywood’s new global benchmark for acting.

Bollywood Versus Hollywood Ranveer Singh Crowned GOAT

Rare Comparison: Indian actors rarely get measured against DiCaprio, but RGV’s bold claim has elevated Ranveer Singh’s stature worldwide.

Box Office Tsunami: Dhurandhar 2 has stormed past ₹519 crore in India and ₹850 crore globally in five days, proving Ranveer’s performance is both critically and commercially unstoppable.

Fan Frenzy: Hashtags like #RanveerSinghGOAT, #RGVOnRanveer, and #Dhurandhar2 are trending, with fans calling this the “DiCaprio moment of Bollywood.”

RGV’s Masala Swipe at Bollywood Supermen

Varma didn’t stop at praise. He threw shade at Bollywood’s obsession with “expressionless supermen” in big‑budget action films like War 2, insisting that audiences crave Ranveer’s layered, emotional performances. His indirect dig has added spice to the story, fueling heated debates across fan communities.
