Ashwin Dhar’s Dhurandhar Look Compared to Shah Rukh Khan’s Met Gala Style

Viral Buzz

Ashwin Dhar, who plays Arshad Pappu in Aditya Dhar’s upcoming film Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has gone viral after fans compared his gangster look in the film to Shah Rukh Khan’s striking 2025 Met Gala appearance. The resemblance quickly sparked memes and online chatter, boosting anticipation for the movie.

Dhar’s Response

Dhar welcomed the comparison with humility. “It was a pleasant surprise,” he said. “Being compared to Shah Rukh Khan is a big compliment. He’s an icon, and if people see shades of him in my character, that’s overwhelming.” He even joked that the viral moment could serve as a perfect ice breaker if he ever meets SRK.

Role in Dhurandhar

In the film, Dhar portrays Arshad Pappu, the leader of the Pathan gang. His rugged styling and intense screen presence drew immediate parallels to Khan’s regal Met Gala look. Some fans humorously suggested that director Aditya Dhar should have cast SRK himself, adding to the buzz.

Memes and Impact

Rather than dismissing the memes, Dhar acknowledged their role in amplifying the film’s visibility. “Memes are part of today’s culture,” he noted. “If they bring more attention to the film and my character, I’m grateful.” The SRK comparison has elevated Dhar’s profile, positioning him as a performer to watch in Bollywood’s evolving landscape.
