Cockroach Janta Party Website Taken Down

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), founded by Abhijeet Dipke, faced a major setback when its official website was removed on May 23. The site had registered more than 10 lakh members and hosted a petition signed by 6 lakh supporters demanding Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation after the NEET UG 2026 paper leak. Dipke condemned the takedown as “dictatorial behaviour,” declaring that “cockroaches never die.”

    Social Media Crackdown on CJP

CJP’s rapid rise on social media triggered government action. Its X account, which gained 200,000 followers in just four days, was withheld under Section 69A of the IT Act citing national security concerns. Dipke quickly launched a new handle, “Cockroach Is Back,” which attracted 210,000 followers overnight. Instagram accounts linked to the party were hacked or suspended, yet the Cockroach Janta Party continues to dominate meme politics and digital satire.

    Origins of Cockroach Janta Party

The movement began after Chief Justice Surya Kant’s remark comparing unemployed youth to cockroaches. Although later clarified, the comment sparked outrage and memes, eventually transforming into a viral satirical rebellion. The Cockroach Janta Party now positions itself as the “voice of the lazy and unemployed,” resonating with Gen Z audiences frustrated by unemployment, exam leaks, and political disillusionment.

    Cockroach Janta Party Manifesto

Beyond satire, the CJP manifesto includes serious reforms:

    • Judicial independence safeguards

    • Transparent election reforms

    • Fifty percent reservation for women in Parliament

    • A twenty year ban on defecting MLAs and MPs

This blend of humor and reform makes the Cockroach Janta Party a unique digital rebellion, combining meme culture with real political critique.

    Oggy Janta Party Rivalry

CJP’s rise has inspired rivals such as the Oggy Janta Party, which parodies CJP using cartoon references. The rivalry has created a meme-fueled opposition, keeping online debates lively and ensuring that meme politics remain a trending topic in India’s digital space.

Future of Meme Politics in India

Despite censorship, Dipke insists the movement will continue. “We are working on a new home right now. Cockroaches never die.” With millions of followers, the Cockroach Janta Party demonstrates how satire, memes, and Gen Z frustration can evolve into powerful tools of political expression and digital dissent in India.
