Ranveer Singh Tried to Patch Up
Ranveer Singh reportedly attempted to reconcile with Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar after walking out of Don 3. He offered to collaborate on new projects to repair ties, but sources claim both filmmakers rejected the proposal outright. This marks a significant setback in Ranveer Singh’s efforts to rebuild professional relationships after the Don 3 controversy.
Don 3 Fallout and Industry Ban
Ranveer Singh’s exit from Don 3 was attributed to creative differences and frustration over delays. Excel Entertainment, co‑founded by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, alleged losses of ₹45 crore due to his withdrawal. In response, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non‑cooperation directive, effectively banning Ranveer Singh from projects under its jurisdiction until the dispute is resolved.
Farhan and Zoya Akhtar’s Firm Stand
Despite Ranveer Singh’s attempts to mend ties, reports suggest that neither Farhan Akhtar nor Zoya Akhtar is willing to work with him again. Zoya, who previously directed Ranveer in Gully Boy, has also distanced herself from future collaborations. This refusal highlights the deep rupture caused by the Don 3 fallout.
Salman Khan’s Mediation Efforts
Superstar Salman Khan reportedly stepped in to mediate between Ranveer Singh and the Akhtars. He urged both sides to prioritize the larger interests of Bollywood over personal disagreements. However, despite his intervention, the situation remains unresolved, with no sign of reconciliation.
Impact on Ranveer Singh’s Career
The Don 3 controversy has cast a shadow over Ranveer Singh’s career. With FWICE’s ban and the Akhtars’ refusal to collaborate, questions loom over his upcoming projects. Industry insiders believe this dispute could affect his standing in Bollywood unless a resolution is reached soon.
